And so the time came to leave Koh Tao, Ami and I departed on the 2 hour ferry ride to Koh Phangan, excited for the Halfmoon party and seeing my Bangkok bestie Levi again! The boat was rocky and Ami suffered from sea sickness quite bad! When we arrived on Koh Phangan it was much more chaotic than the serenity of Koh Tao. Plenty of street traders trying to catch your attention and the familiar call of ‘taxi, where you want to go miss?’. After managing to barter a taxi for 100 baht each we were on our way to Blue Dream hostel, the hostel was super chill and had a pool which is where we spent most of our days!

My first night in Koh Phangan is one big black hole… I have no memory of anything after playing beer pong with Eric my belgian partner! Way too many buckets were consumed! We finally met up with the Lovely Levi on our second day and we had plenty of food and beers to try and cure my horrendous hangover (I was in and out of the pool like a yoyo). This night was also a blur of beer pong, buckets and pool!

The next day was HALFMOON!! There was a great buzz around the hostel as everyone was drinking and painting eachother with neon body paints! Levi came over for some pre party buckets and we danced the night away in the hostel lobby until our taxi came.

The Taxi came and 18 of us piled into the back of basically a large tuk tuk, Eric was in a hammock in the middle of us all and two boys were hanging off the back… Mental! The halfmoon party in the jungle was awesome, great house music provided by wolf pack, lots of dancing, buckets and chicken kebabs!! when we made it back to the hostel there was a pool party and so in we dived!
The next day was a relaxed one by the pool, we chilled out with our new hostel buddies and drank copious amounts of beer. Anna arrived at the hostel to the aftermath of halfmoon! When the hostel bar closed we went on a hunt for more booze and came accross a lovely little shop (the shop was the living room of a house) with seating outside, we all got Samsung and coke buckets and invited the shop owner Jack to join us, which resulted in many free buckets and some great conversation:

My final day in Koh Phangan consisted of lots of R&R by the pool and a lovely meal out with my faves to say goodbye.

XOXO
